BLACK FERNS

It all starts with the fans. Maybe they’re lifelong supporters. Maybe they’re new to the game. Or maybe they’re just here for the energy and power of the Black Ferns. Whatever brings them in, we wanted to give them a new way to connect - one that’s interactive, exciting, and built for game day and beyond.

As part of a university group project, we created a campaign centered around a branded sports drink, featuring QR codes that unlock collectible digital player cards. Fans can build their fantasy team, earn points, and compete for prizes, all while getting hyped for the 2025 Rugby World Cup.

Virtual Player Cards

Play.

Users will watch games closely, hoping that their players perform well during games, as this will increase their score in app.

Collect.

Once scanned, the QR-code will take users to our app, where they will find their new virtual player card in their collection.

The Concept

Drink.

The drink itself can be purchased at most supermarkets or convenient stores before the 2025 Rugby World Cup begins.

Scan.

Next, users will be able to scan the unique QR-code found on the underside of the can tab. (Note: only accessible once open.)
